Historical Landmark in Carrickfergus

Templecorran Church & Graveyard in Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim, is a historical landmark featuring the roofless ruin of a medieval parish church. The site was an early Christian monastery and graveyard, with an early Christian cross-inscribed stone visible. A large circular boundary ditch from the monastery can still be traced. The graveyard contains gravestones for several admirals, United Irishmen, early Presbyterians, and individuals connected to emigration to America and both World Wars. A memorial to weaver poet James Orr is also present.
