Taste of Sligo Food Festival 2026
The award-winning Taste of Sligo Food Festival is back with an all new summer feel this July 25th and 26th. Taking place in Sligo Town’s Queen Maeve Square on the banks of the Garavogue River, enjoy culinary delights from Sligo the Northwest and across Ireland. Bringing together all ages in the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way, it is a weekend guaranteeing good food, local musicians, bands, family fun and non-stop entertainment in the heart of the town. Going into its third consecutive year, the Taste of Sligo Food Festival has seen incredible success, attracting thousands of attendees from across Ireland and afar. Growing on this success, fan- favourite chef demonstrations and the much-loved family fun area are back with a fresh feel. Enjoy celebrity chef demonstrations from the incredibly talented Shane Smith, Sunil Guy, Lou Robbie and Shamzuri Hanifa to name but a few, alongside local stars from the Sligo Food Trail such as Rebecca Sweeney, Anthony Gray, Aisling Kelly and many more. Watch in amazement as the little ones expand their skills with a newly introduced Children’s Cookery Area led by Deirdre Doyle expanding on the success of the 2025 collaboration with the Cool Food School and Sligo Food Trail. No matter your age, you are guaranteed to leave the 2026 Taste of Sligo Food Festival feeling inspired in the kitchen. Make a break and weekend of it in Sligo this July, explore Sligo’s amazing coastline along the Wild Atlantic Way with good food and entertainment to top it off. Celebrate homegrown talent with live music filling the square while you enjoy world-class oysters and craft beer sourced and produced locally, what more could you ask for. Black Pig Festival 2026
This July, the seaside village of Enniscrone comes alive once again as the legendary Black Pig Festival returns for five unforgettable days of music, entertainment, family fun, food, culture, and pure festival atmosphere. Running from Thursday 23rd to Monday 27th July 2026, the Black Pig Festival is one of the west of Ireland’s most loved summer celebrations, bringing thousands of visitors to the Wild Atlantic coast for a packed program of live music, beach events, family activities, great food, and late-night entertainment.
Give Tennis a Go – Free Intro to Tennis Evening
Have you been thinking about trying tennis? Join us at Sligo Racquet Club for a free introductory evening and see what the game is all about in a relaxed, friendly environment. Thursday, July 16th 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM Everyone is welcome, whether you've never picked up a racket or you're returning to the sport. All equipment is provided, so just come along and enjoy the evening. If you decide to continue, our 3-month beginner programme costs €100 and includes two complimentary green fee passes.
