Christmas at Wicklow Gaol 2026

Christmas at Wicklow Gaol is a new event featuring an authentic German Alpine Christmas Village within the historic courtyard walls of Wicklow Gaol. Visitors can enjoy traditional wooden chalets, festive food, crafts and gifts, live music and The Governor’s Table Café. The programme also includes Victorian Santa, Dickens & Scrooge character-led tours and Christmas workshops. Selected dates in 2026: 21–22 November, 28–29 November, 4–6 December, 11–13 December and 18–20 December. The event does not operate every day between these weekends. Market hours: Fridays 2 pm–7 pm; Saturdays and Sundays 10 am–7 pm. Victorian Santa begins on 28 November, running on the remaining market dates: Fridays 2 pm–6 pm; Saturdays and Sundays 10 am–6 pm. Dickens & Scrooge tours begin on 21 November. Workshop details will be announced separately. Admission: the Christmas Market is free to enter. Victorian Santa: infants aged 0–2 €15.95 including a gift; children aged 3–12 €22.95 including a gift; adults aged 13+ €12.95. All prices include booking fees.
