About
Greenore Lighthouse in Greenore, Co. Louth is a disused, freestanding two-stage lighthouse built in 1830. It has a circular plan and tapered profile with a flat roof and a domed light. The lighthouse is constructed of painted ashlar stone with a projecting plinth and corbelled brackets. It forms a group with the associated former lighthouse keeper's house and was built by George Halpin Snr.
