Nestled in the heart of North Leitrim, The Wee Bindery is a small craft studio dedicated to the timeless art of bookbinding and hand calligraphy. From bespoke leather-bound journals, custom photo albums, and sketchbooks to the careful restoration and repair of cherished old books, every piece is made individually by hand with patience and precision.
We believe that beautiful objects should be made responsibly. That is why we proudly use traditional bookbinding techniques alongside materials sourced from fairtrade suppliers and trusted artisans. The best way to start is to have a look at the shop and see whether there is a particular binding or style that you like the most. I am listing below the main bindings I offer, the list is not exhaustive. Make it Real Have a look through the shop or below for your ideal binding, then let me know: The size (A4, A5 etc) The shape (square, landscape, portrait) The number of pages Any paper preference, especially for sketchbooks Finally, have a thought about the colour or style of your item. Some ideas of paper available are in the news section. Maybe you would like an added customisation with a hand calligraphed note.

I work independently from my small micro-bindery in North Leitrim, where I practise traditional bookbinding as a self-taught craft. Each project is approached with care, patience, and a strong respect for the materials and the purpose of the book.
