the Other clinic - Pembroke Street Counselling & Psychotherapy

We are a therapist-led group practice. Rather than being directed by business people or marketing teams, the clinic is led by a practising psychotherapist. In practice, this means that psychoanalytic principles inform almost everything we do. Clinical judgement takes precedence over commercial considerations.

We offer individual counselling & psychotherapy, couples counselling, and child and adolescent therapy shaped around the person. We also provide EAP counselling and psychological reports. 

The clinic is directed by Colin McDonnell, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, who oversees administrative functions, practitioner selection, and the overall therapeutic ethos of the practice.

Today, the Other clinic is an established psychotherapy practice in Dublin, working with over 37 therapists, providing around 2000 sessions per month, and receiving referrals from local GPs and other healthcare professionals.
