Moate Sports & Recreation Centre

Moate Sports & Recreation Centre is a community sports and recreation facility serving Moate and the surrounding area in County Westmeath. With over 40 years at the heart of local sport, the centre provides a welcoming and inclusive space that encourages people of all ages and abilities to stay active, healthy and connected. The centre’s facilities accommodate indoor football, basketball, badminton, and volleyball, together with a growing range of clubs and activities such as Westmeath Dodgeball Club, Moate Pickleball Club, Moate Martial Arts, Badminton Club, RugbyTots, and Indoor Cricket Club. A weekly Bingo night is also held every Wednesday evening, and additional workshops and community activities are planned as the centre continues to expand its offerings. In addition to organised programmes, Moate Sports & Recreation Centre offers meeting room and kitchen hire, and with its large hall, supports local clubs, groups and community events. Through its range of activities and facilities, the centre plays an important role in promoting health, wellbeing and community engagement throughout the locality.
