Gut Health Matters

Gut Health Matters, led by Irish Registered Dietitian Lorraine Cooney, provides specialist, evidence-based support for people experiencing IBS and digestive health concerns. With over 20 years of experience in nutrition and dietetics, Lorraine combines personalised nutrition strategies, lifestyle guidance and gut-directed hypnotherapy to help clients better understand and manage their symptoms.

The service supports people dealing with issues such as bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, urgency, reflux and food-related anxiety. Rather than relying on unnecessary restrictive diets or one-size-fits-all solutions, Gut Health Matters takes a person-centred approach that considers nutrition, lifestyle and the important connection between the gut and brain.

Services include personalised 1:1 gut health consultations and the Calm Gut Formula, a structured 12-week coaching programme combining nutrition support with gut-brain therapies. Consultations are available online, making specialist support accessible to clients throughout Ireland.

Lorraine is also the author of two gut health books, Gut Feeling, which focuses on FODMAPs, and Why You Can't Go, which explores constipation.
